References in this policy to “we”, “us” or “our” mean Button Stance UK Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC563118. We operate the website www.buttonstance.com. We are the Data Controller, which means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you.

It aims to protect your rights relative to your personal data by setting out, amongst other things, the conditions under which the processing of personal data is lawful, the rights of data subjects, and the standards that organisations that handle personal data must adopt.

When you make an enquiry with us, you will be asked to provide your email, phone number and contact name which allows us to contact you to discuss your enquiry and to book an appointment or consultation for you. The information may include your name, address, email address, phone number or other contact details, role/title/area of responsibilities.

 

When you decide to go ahead with commissioning a garment/placing an order, we will require to have your biometric measurements taken (i.e. chest circumference, shoulder width, arm length etc) that would enable us to create a pattern for your commissioned garment. These measurements will be noted on a Client records card and used only for the purposes of providing you with our Services.

 

SECTION 2 - How we collect and store personal data

 

You can provide an information to us by filling in forms on our websites or by corresponding with us by phone, email or other means.

 

We store your data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally collected, unless otherwise required by a legal obligation/applicable Law. If you've selected ‘No’ to us being able to store and use your data, once we've dealt with your enquiry and there is no further legal basis for holding it, we will delete any personal data you provided. We will not use any personal information for the purposes of remarketing or sell it to any third party.

 

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential and not sharing with anyone.

 

SECTION 3 - Why we collect and process personal data

 

We may use your data in the following ways:

  • to communicate with you regarding your current order;

  • to provide you with information regarding our Services by post, telephone, email, only if you agreed to receive this by opting in to receiving our marketing emails;

However, if you do not provide your data or if you exercise your rights you may not be able to benefit from the Services (as applicable), and we may not be able to provide you with information about our products, services and promotions.

 

In accordance with applicable Data Protection law, you may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us, or object at any time to the processing of your data. Withdrawing your consent to our use or disclosure of your data will mean that you cannot make use of some of our Services.

  • request access to and receive information about the personal information we maintain about you;

  • receive copies of the personal information we maintain about you;

  • update and correct inaccuracies in your personal information;

  • object to the processing of your personal information;

If you follow a link to any of the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates,  current or future, linked to www.buttonstance.com directly or indirectly, please note that these websites might have their own privacy policies and we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or you using them. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

 

SECTION 6 - Complaints procedure

 

We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and securely. If you feel unhappy with our response to the requests you have made to us regarding the use of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. You can find their details online on www.ico.org.uk (please note we can't be responsible for the content of external websites). 

 

If you are based outside the UK, you have the right to lodge your complaint with the relevant data protection regulator in your country of residence.
